The ResLife Team are excited to invite you to a special evening celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights!

Event Date/Time📅: Thursday 5th of November

Location📍: Queen Margaret Common Room

Event Vibe:☕Social & Casual 🎯Activity-Focussed

Diwali is one of the most important festivals in Hinduism and is also celebrated by many Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists around the world. The festival symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair.

Come along to learn more about the traditions, stories and significance of Diwali while enjoying a creative activity. You'll have the opportunity to decorate your own glass tea light holder to take home, inspired by the beautiful lights and colours associated with the festival.

Whether you're familiar with Diwali or learning about it for the first time, everyone is welcome. This is a great chance to explore a cultural celebration, meet fellow residents, and enjoy a relaxed and creative evening together.

Generally: The ticket system is in place so we can track interest in the event and make sure we have enough drinks and snacks! 🍿🥤

Sometimes events have a limit to numbers (e.g. bus seats for trips, craft nights) if we have limited resources or are hosting in spaces with limited capacity.

It's always best to grab a ticket 🎟️
