Stressed about postgrad life? You're not alone!
The ResLife Team are excited to invite you to our Postgrad Academic Survival Exchange!
Event Date/Time📅: 29/10/26 at 18:00
Location📍: Maclay Common Room
Event Vibe:🌿Calm & Relaxed |🎯Activity-Focussed
Join fellow postgraduate students from across our accommodations for an informal evening of conversation, shared experiences, and practical advice. Whether you're figuring out how to stay productive, manage deadlines, balance wellbeing, work with supervisors, or plan your next career step, this session is all about learning from people who understand the postgraduate journey.
Through interactive activities, you'll swap tips, explore different approaches to academic challenges, and help build a community of support within your residence.
You'll leave with:
- Practical advice from fellow postgraduates
- New perspectives on common academic challenges
- Connections with other postgrad resident
No presentations, no pressure, and no need to have all the answers; just a chance to share, connect, and learn together over snacks and refreshments.
Although hosted at our Maclay residences, this event is open to all postgraduate students staying in UofG Accommodation.

Generally: The ticket system is in place so we can track interest in the event and make sure we have enough drinks and snacks! 🍿🥤
Sometimes events have a limit to numbers (e.g. bus seats for trips, craft nights) if we have limited resources or are hosting in spaces with limited capacity.
It's always best to grab a ticket 🎟️
And if you're not able to come along then please try to cancel your ticket in advance or let us know so that your space can be used by another student. Thank you.
