ResLife Flat Cooking Competition

Win a prize worth up to £200!

One of the best ways of getting to know your flatmates is to spend time together in your communal areas, and one of the best ways of connecting with each other is through the sharing of food. 

To encourage this, if you moved into a shared kitchen flat, you should have found a ResLife Student Cookbook to welcome you. This cookbook includes student friendly recipes that celebrate the diversity of our residential communities. 

And part of the cookbook includes information about "The Grand Cookout" - our competition to encourage flatmates to cook something from the book together and compete to win a prize worth up to £200 for your flat! 

How to Enter:

• Take photos of your dish — this could be the finished meal, the cooking process, or everyone enjoying the meal together. 
• Tell us (in up to 100 words) what you enjoyed most about cooking together. 
• Send your photo(s) and the text to reslifecommunity@glasgow.ac.uk by 31st of October 2026 to be entered 

How will we decide a winner?:

• Photos will be shared on the ResLife Instagram (@UofGResLife) 
• Fellow students will vote for their favourite entry 
• Winner will be announced and contacted to arrange their flat prizes!
