A celebration of Scottish culture

Residents came together to celebrate Burns Night with an evening of Scottish culture, food, and entertainment. The event offered students the chance to learn more about Scotland’s traditions while enjoying a fun and social atmosphere 💙

Guests were treated to a selection of Scottish snacks throughout the evening, giving everyone the opportunity to sample some traditional favourites. A Scottish-themed trivia quiz followed, testing participants’ knowledge of Scotland’s history, culture, and Scots language, as well as testing their knowledge of classic Scottish Vines! Plus there was a Hunt for a little Haggis hidden around the room!

The quiz sparked plenty of friendly competition, with teams working together to answer questions and claim the top spot 🏆

To complete the celebration, residents enjoyed a mini ceilidh, where they learned and took part in traditional Scottish dances. The lively music and enthusiastic participation ensured the night ended on a high note, with plenty of laughter and memorable moments.

In fact, the ResLife Team member hosting was so swept up in the joy of the event, they forgot to take even a single photo! Apart from the hiding Haggis of course!
