The home of all things sustainability on campus

Ever since it was launched by GUEST (Glasgow University Environmental and Sustainability Team) in September 2024, the Eco-Hub has been helping UofG students not only do their bit for the environment but also save money into the bargain!

Located on Level 2 of the Boyd Orr Building, the Eco-Hub offers students a range of brilliant services including:

☕️ Coffee and tea facilities

❄️ Community fridge with free food available for everyone

👕 Clothes and homeware swap-shop

♻️ Collection of educational resources on the environment

The Eco-Hub also hosts a regular programme of events and workshops that help encourage and promote environmental awareness and sustainability. Amongst the great activities available are bike repair sessions, clothing repair sessions, sustainable crafting, film screenings, talks and much more.

Student2Student Essentials

In September and January, the Eco-Hub also hosts GUEST’s fantastic Student2Student Essentials which allows students to pick up FREE homewares, all of which have been donated by students who are leaving Glasgow or moving on from their accommodation. Something to bear in mind if you've just arrived in your residence and need some new crockery or cutlery!

Equally, when it comes time to move out and you want to travel light, keep an eye out for the Student2Student Essentials donation points and you can pass on your items to the new intake of students🤝
