What's included?
Enjoy two meals a day on campus (breakfast and dinner), Monday to Friday. The total cost for Semester 1 is £870 (12 weeks, 5 days a week).
When and Where
Start date: Monday, 22 September 2025
End date: Friday, 12 December 2025
Where: Hub Kitchen, James McCune Smith Building, University Avenue
Breakfast: From 8am to 10am, Monday to Friday
Dinner: From 5pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday

Confirmation of the availability of a Semester 2 Meal Plan (January to mid-March) will be released in October/November.

Booking guidelines
We advise that your place at the University of Glasgow is confirmed before you book a Meal Plan. Full payment must be made at the point of booking. Meal plans must be booked by 31 August 2025.
Customers will be issued with a Meal Plan card which must be shown at point of service. Cards must be collected between 15 and 22 September 2025. Card collection details will be confirmed by email. Photographic identification will be required for card collection.

Breakfast Sample Menu
Each morning choose one hot item, one cold item and your choice of hot drink.
- Hot breakfast roll: Fillings include pork sausage, Lorne sausage, Scottish back bacon, potato scone, baked beans, free-range Scottish egg
- Porridge: Scots porridge oats cooked with organic milk
- Cold items: A selection of cereals, freshly baked pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt pots

Each evening choose two courses. We have a four-week menu rotation: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4 and then repeat.

Terms and Conditions
1. Availability & Booking
i. Packages are available on a first come, first served basis
ii. Full payment is required at the time of booking
2. Meal Package Details (inc. pricing)
i. 22 September to 12 December 2025 pre-paid Total cost £870.
ii. Package includes one breakfast and one dinner per day
a. Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
b. Breakfast served 8am to 10am
c. Dinner served 5pm to 7pm
iii. Additional items beyond the package allowance will be charged separately at the point of sale
iv. All meals will be served in the James McCune Smith Learning Hub only (sit-in or takeaway, no delivery service is available)
d. Please note, any food taken off the premises is consumed at the student’s own risk
e. Customers will be issued with a Meal Plan card which must be shown at point of service.
3. Usage & Expiry
i. Customers are entitled to one Meal Plan breakfast and one Meal Plan dinner, Monday to Friday for the duration of the Package.
ii. Unused meals do not roll over to the following week
iii. Unused meals cannot be transferred to another student ID
iv. There are no prepaid meal options available at the weekend or University/public holidays
4. Purchasing
i. Prepaid packages are only available to purchase via the online booking link. Booking link opens 0930hrs Thursday 14 August 2025.
ii. Full payment is due at the time of purchase
iii. Cancellation of a Meal Plan can be requested within 14 days of purchase and full refund given.
5. Miscellaneous
i. The University of Glasgow and any subsidiary companies reserve the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time without prior notice
ii. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions
iii. Any queries, concerns or complaints relating to this offer should be directed to campuscatering@glasgow.ac.uk A response will be received within 5 working days

How do I book my Meal Plan?
The online booking link will be available here from 0930hrs on Thursday 14 August 2025.
Payment must be made in full at time of booking. Please do not book a Meal Plan until your offer of study at the University of Glasgow is confirmed.
Closing date for bookings- 31 August 2025
Alternative option for UofG residents
Wolfson Hall is a catered residence where the accommodation fees include breakfast/brunch and dinner 7 days a week. Standard and ensuite rooms available from £204.40 per week. Contract from September to June (39 weeks). If you have already received your offer of accommodation and wish to change to Wolfson Hall, please email accom@glasgow.ac.uk to request an amendment. Rooms subject to availability.
