Pizza Dough Recipe (that makes 2 medium pizzas)
Prep time: 10 mins + 1 hr proving | Cook time: Depends on toppings
Ingredients
- 250g strong white bread flour
- 7g sachet fast-action yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 150ml warm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Method
- Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Divide into two portions, roll out into circles, and your base is ready for toppings!
1. Pesto Chicken Pizza
Sauce: Basil pesto
Toppings
- 2 tbsp basil pesto
- 100g cooked chicken, shredded
- 50g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 50g grated mozzarella
- 1 tbsp pine nuts (optional)
Method
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (fan) / 240°C (conventional).
- Spread pesto evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
- Top with chicken, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella. Sprinkle pine nuts if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese bubbles.
2. Spicy Arrabbiata Pizza
Sauce: Arrabbiata sauce (spicy tomato sauce)
Toppings
- 3 tbsp arrabbiata sauce
- 1 red chilli, finely sliced
- 50g pepperoni slices or cooked spicy sausage
- 50g grated cheddar
- Fresh rocket leaves for garnish
Method
- Spread arrabbiata sauce over the base.
- Add pepperoni slices, red chilli, and grated cheddar.
- Bake at 220°C (fan) / 240°C (conventional) for 12-15 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh rocket leaves before serving.
3. Creamy Alfredo Veggie Pizza
Sauce: Garlic alfredo sauce
Toppings
- 2 tbsp garlic Alfredo sauce (make by mixing 50ml cream, 1 crushed garlic clove, and 10g grated Parmesan)
- 30g sliced mushrooms
- 30g spinach leaves
- 20g thinly sliced red onion
- 30g crumbled feta
Method
- Spread the Alfredo sauce over the base.
- Top with mushrooms, spinach, red onion, and crumbled feta.
- Bake at 220°C (fan) / 240°C (conventional) for 12-15 minutes.
