Pizza Dough Recipe (that makes 2 medium pizzas)

Prep time: 10 mins + 1 hr proving | Cook time: Depends on toppings

Ingredients

  • 250g strong white bread flour
  • 7g sachet fast-action yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150ml warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Divide into two portions, roll out into circles, and your base is ready for toppings!

1. Pesto Chicken Pizza

Sauce: Basil pesto

Toppings

  • 2 tbsp basil pesto
  • 100g cooked chicken, shredded
  • 50g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 50g grated mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp pine nuts (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (fan) / 240°C (conventional).
  2. Spread pesto evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  3. Top with chicken, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella. Sprinkle pine nuts if desired.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese bubbles.

2. Spicy Arrabbiata Pizza

Sauce: Arrabbiata sauce (spicy tomato sauce)

Toppings

  • 3 tbsp arrabbiata sauce
  • 1 red chilli, finely sliced
  • 50g pepperoni slices or cooked spicy sausage
  • 50g grated cheddar
  • Fresh rocket leaves for garnish

Method

  1. Spread arrabbiata sauce over the base.
  2. Add pepperoni slices, red chilli, and grated cheddar.
  3. Bake at 220°C (fan) / 240°C (conventional) for 12-15 minutes.
  4. Garnish with fresh rocket leaves before serving.

3. Creamy Alfredo Veggie Pizza

Sauce: Garlic alfredo sauce

Toppings

  • 2 tbsp garlic Alfredo sauce (make by mixing 50ml cream, 1 crushed garlic clove, and 10g grated Parmesan)
  • 30g sliced mushrooms
  • 30g spinach leaves
  • 20g thinly sliced red onion
  • 30g crumbled feta

Method

  1. Spread the Alfredo sauce over the base.
  2. Top with mushrooms, spinach, red onion, and crumbled feta.
  3. Bake at 220°C (fan) / 240°C (conventional) for 12-15 minutes.
