Where our food comes from

From farm to plate

We work with a range of incredible local suppliers to make sure you're being served high-quality, nutritious food as sustainably as possible.

Here are just a handful of our suppliers behind your food and drinks on campus.

Mossgiel Organic Farm 🥛

Located in Ayrshire, Mossgiel Organic Farm is the cream of the crop (pun intended) when it comes to milk. They believe - like us - that what we put in our body matters, which is why they use no pesticides and no genetic modification, just pasture-fed cows producing organic milk as nature intended.

They're also dedicated to helping the planet along the way and are making leaps and bounds to being 100% self-sustainable. From farm to campus, all of the milk delivered to us in reusable packaging from glass bottles to reusable tubs.

So next time you order a cuppa in our cafés, not only are you supporting an eco-friendly business but it'll taste amazing.

Broken Clock 🥐

There's nothing better than a freshly baked croissant and coffee in the morning - or any time of day really! Don't underestimate this small café in the heart of Glasgow, they are serious bakers.

With a passion for experimenting with high-end ingredients and putting their twist on tradition, their bakes are full of flavour and flare. But that's not all...located just around the corner we make sure you're served real fresh pastries everyday locally, cutting down travel miles while supporting a talented local business.

McGhee's Bakery 🥪

Did you know that your morning breakfast roll has such a rich family history? It all began in 1936 at the original bakehouse in Maryhill, to now being known as a famous Scottish family brand. One of the biggest bakeries in Scotland, they bake over 4 millions rolls PER WEEK!

So every time you have a breakfast roll on campus, remember that there is almost 90 years of history and four generations of McGhee's bakers behind it.

McLays Foods 🍗

Most of our meat comes from farms in Perthshire and Aviemore and is always fully traceable back to the farm, thanks to McLays. Working with approved suppliers and farms locally they make sure we have access to the best available and freshest produce every single day from quality meat to fruit and veggies.

They even have a seasonality calendar so you know you're eating the right food at the right time throughout your entire student journey.

We truly care about serving you the best of the best and thanks to our suppliers we can do exactly that.
