It's March and Spring is in the air! There's never been a better time to get out and about in the city and check out the various festivities and events taking place so here are a few highlights for your consideration.

At the University
Glasgow Goes Green Festival (Advanced Research Centre [ARC], 5 March)
Join fellow students and staff from universities and colleges across Glasgow to celebrate and promote sustainability and environmental awareness. There will be stalls, live musical performances, talks and workshops so not to be missed!
Tern (University Concert Hall, 11 March)
Shaped by the rich musical heritage of Shetland, Scotland, and Scandinavia, Celtic Connections Award Winning 5-piece, Tern will be bringing their unique blend of Nordic music influences to the Uni Concert Hall.
Choral Contemplations VI: The Redhill Passion (University Memorial Chapel, 11 March)
The Uni's brilliant Chapel Choir perform the world premiere of The Redhill Passion, Kenneth Tay's reimagining of legendary tale of Bukit Merah.
Barokkanerne (University Concert Hall, 13 March)
If Italian Baroque Music is your thing then you'll not want to miss the visit of Norwegian group Barokkanerne and their new director, lutenist Jadran Duncumb.
Scots Fiddle Old & New (University Concert Hall, 20 March)
Award winning, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra member Alastair Savage brings you some of the best Scottish fiddle music.
Aud the Deep-Minded (University Concert Hall, 27 March)
Chamber opera fans won't want to miss Joanna Nicholson's psychological drama about Aud the Deep-Minded, a Christian Viking in 9th century Scotland.

The Big Bethany Sleep Out 2025 (Glasgow City Chambers, 21 March)
The Big Bethany Sleep Out is back to raise awareness of homelessness and support the work of the amazing Bethany Trust.

Simon Evans (The Stand Comedy Club, 9 March)
As a regular on TV and radio, Simon Evans has undoubtedly become one of Britain's favourite comedians. Check him out at the The Stand in the West End on the 9th.

Fred MacAuley (Òran Mór, 29 March)

Mike and the Mechanics (Royal Concert Hall, 3 March)
Mike Rutherford et al have produced some incredible hits over the years including ‘Over My Shoulder’ and ‘All I Need Is A Miracle’. They'll be revisiting these classics alongside some of Genesis’s (Mike Rutherford's other band!) best loved tracks in their ‘Looking Back - Living The Years 2025 Tour’.
Jack White (Barrowlands, 3 March)
As one half of the White Stripes, Jack White became one of the most recognisable figures in rock and roll. Now going solo, he's bringing his No Name Tour to the Barrowlands.
Limp Bizkit (OVO Hydro, 8 March)
Nu metal legends Limp Bizkit will be rocking the Hydro on the 8th as they bring their Loserville tour to the city.
Jason Donovan (Royal Concert Hall, 10 March)
Ramsay Street's finest takes us through 25 years years of his best hits including Especially For You and Too Many Broken Hearts.
Glasgow Music Festival (Various Venues, 11 March)
The Glasgow Music Festival returns for the 113th year with its usual eclectic range of music that includes classical, folk, jazz, rock and traditional Scottish music. There will also be dancing and spoken word events so there's guaranteed to be something for everyone!
Sabrina Carpenter (OVO Hydro, 11 March)
After a record-breaking 2024, where she spent more weeks at number one in a year than any other female artist in UK chart history, Sabrina Carpenter has rightly become one of there biggest names in pop. Catch her Short n’ Sweet Tour at the Hydro on the 11th.
Badly Drawn Boy (SWG3, 18 March)
Badly Drawn Boy aka Damon Gough will be bringing his guitar and beanie hat to the West End as he celebrates 25 years since the launch of his iconic album Hour of the Bewilderbeast.
Dick Valentine (Mono, 20 March)
The Electric Six frontman will be performing an exclusive acoustic set featuring some of the band's hits alongside tracks from his 10th studio album, The Final Musician at the Mono Cafe. Fun Fact: Jack White, who is playing the Barrowlands on 3 March provided the backing vocals on Electric Six's biggest hit Danger! High Voltage.
Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Piano Festival (The Royal Conservatoire, 17 to 20 March)
Head to the Royal Conservatoire for their annual celebration of incredible piano performances! Amongst the highlights include performances of Liszt, Prokofiev, Ravel and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
The Darkness (Royal Concert Hall, 20 March)
The British rockers launch their new album Dreams on Toast.
The Game (O2 Academy, 20 March)
The Game visits the O2 Academy to mark the 20th anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album, The Documentary.
Alison Moyet (Royal Concert Hall, 21 March)
One of the most distinctive voices of 1980s, Alison Moyet will be celebrating 40 years in music in the Royal Concert Hall.
Beethoven's 'Pastoral' Symphony (City Halls, 21 March)
The Scottish Chamber Orchestra take on Beethoven's iconic Symphony Number 6 'Pastoral'.
David Gray (SEC Armadillo, 22 March)
25 years after White Ladder gained worldwide acclaim, David Gray is back with his 13th studio album, Dear Life.
Kim Wilde (Royal Concert Hall, 25 March)
We're spoilt for iconic 1980s females this month as Kim Wilde brings comes to town to play hits from her legendary 1988 album, Close.

Death of a Salesman (Pavilion Theatre, 5 -9 March)
Scottish actor David Hayman takes on the role of Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Pulitzer-winning classic.
Jack and the Beanstalk (The Scottish Mask & Puppet Centre, 16 March)
See the children's classic as you've never seen it before - performed by puppets! Even better, the Scottish Mask & Puppet Centre is just along the road from Queen Margaret, Winton Drive and Lister House so definitely worth checking out!
War Horse (Theatre Royal, 25 March)
Michael Morpungo's much novel brought to life by the National Theatre. The life-sized horse puppets produced are worth the entry fee alone!
