Welcome to Maclay - Your Glasgow Home!
The Management and Residence Life Team are delighted that you have made Maclay Residences your Glasgow home for this academic year and we look forward to welcoming you to the residence. In coming to Maclay you will be joining a diverse and energetic community that will encourage you, support you, and inspire you.
We are excited that you will soon be part of it. In order to help you get off to a good start, we have compiled some useful information to ensure your arrival goes as smoothly as possible.
Barbara Leyden, Residence Manager and Chelsea Gordon, Site Warden
Arrival/ E-Induction
You should complete your online E-induction prior to arrival, which contains useful information about many aspects of residence life including fire safety and student welfare. The E-Induction goes live a few weeks before arrival and can be found on the same page you logged into to apply for accommodation (https://onlineapps.accom.gla.ac.uk).
You can move into Maclay Residences from noon on Friday 13 September.
On arrival at Maclay you will be able to collect your key and check-in at reception, located at:
Maclay Residences, 9 Cooperage Place, Glasgow, G3 8QP
Depending on the date and time of your arrival, the office may be closed; however, the ResLife team will be on duty overnight and at the weekend to issue your key and direct you to your flat. Simply use the buzzer at the reception door or call the number displayed there to contact onsite staff if the office is unmanned. It would be helpful if you could advise us of your expected arrival date/time by emailing us at Maclay@glasgow.ac.uk if you are arriving after 16 September.
We are unable to confirm your address until you arrive as it may change last minute. Reception is also unable to accept mail or packages for residents in advance of arrival. The only exception to this is UniKitOut bedding orders placed by Friday 30 August.
