Heading back to halls for 2026/27? This is your chance to get more out of your experience - not just by attending events, but by helping shape them 🎉
The ResLife Halls Activity Team (HAT) is made up of students just like you, working together to create a welcoming, social, and supportive environment in halls. Whether you’d love to help organise events and activities, meet new people, or just want to get more involved, there’s a place for you.
By joining the team, you’ll play a key role in bringing events and activities to life and helping others feel at home in your halls community.
What’s in it for you?
The HAT experience is fun, flexible and varied, with loads of opportunities to share the hobbies and activities you love with other students in your halls. As part of the Halls Activity Team, you’ll also gain real, practical experience alongside your studies:
Professional feedback and development opportunities Receive ongoing support and guidance from ResLife staff to help you grow your skills and confidence.
Project planning and management A brilliant way to build experience - especially if you’re thinking about joining a society committee or building your CV.
Variety in what you do From casual events to bigger projects, every week can look different.
Convenience It’s all happening right where you live - you don’t need to travel or commit to something far from home.
More than just a role
Alongside building your CV, you’ll make friends, boost your confidence, and help create the kind of halls experience you (and others) want to be part of.
Sounds like something you’d love to do or want more information on the opportunity? Send us an email at reslifecommunity@glasgow.ac.uk, and we’ll get back to you asap
If you want to do more than just live in halls - if you want to shape your experience, meet new people, and gain valuable skills - then the Halls Activity Team is for you.
