Thanks to the scheme, which aims to support sustainable travel choices and commit to a fairer, greener transport system, you'll not have to worry about buying bus tickets for a while!
Apply
To apply for the scheme and access free bus travel, you will need a new or replacement National Entitlement Card (NEC) or Young Scot National Entitlement Card (Young Scot NEC).
- To apply, renew or request a replacement National Entitlement Card (NEC) please visit https://getyournec.scot/nec/
- To apply for or renew a Young Scot National Entitlement Card (Young Scot NEC), you need to contact your Local Authority. Please visit https://young.scot/the-young-scot-card/ for full details and a link to check which Local Authority area you live in.
Please be aware that previously issued cards will not be accepted and the photograph on the card must look like you.
For proof of address you can obtain a Certifying letter via MyCampus or via the Accommodation online portal.
