I'm travelling all the way from Canada to study at Glasgow!

Hi! I'm Vanessa!

I can't wait to move in, meet new people, travel around the UK, start my studies and immerse myself in Scottish culture- I've heard a lot about haggis!

Before all that I need to pack the next 4 months of my life into a case so I thought I'd talk you through a few of the things I'm taking with me:

• Hunter wellies (heard that's what people call them over here?!)

• Warm winter jacket and thick knit sweaters

• Blanket scarf

• Shoes - as many as will fit!

• Rolled up shirts and trousers to take up less space....

Looks like the rest of my stuff will have to go in my hand luggage

I am planning to get bigger stuff like kitchenware, duvet and sheets when I'm in Glasgow

Although I'm really excited, I will definitely miss my friends and family. And of course, my dog, Leo! Are you sure I can't bring him with me?
