Need to know festive info!

The Firhill Court Office will be closed from 5pm on Tuesday 24 December and will re-open at 9am on Friday 27 December.  

The office will close for New Year at 5pm on Tuesday 31 December and will return to normal hours on Friday 3 January 2025.

During this time there will be 24-hour security based in the office who you can reach by calling 07710 167 479 or visiting reception.

If you are going to be staying with us over the festive period remember that there is lots of assistance available at the residences 24/7 and from University Security! 

Security

As well as your local security team, you can always get in touch with our University Security team. They can be reached on 0141 330 4444, via the Safezone app or by dropping by to see them at the Gatehouse on main campus.

24/7 Student Support Line

Throughout the winter break you will also have access to our 24/7 Student support line. You can call them free of charge on 0800 028 3766 or you can download the app by going to your App Store and searching for Wisdom. Through the app you'll find a wealth of support resources and can connect directly with a counsellor.

Estranged and Care Experienced Student Society

If you are care-experienced, estranged or both, the Estranged and Care Experienced Student Society will help you find other people with similar backgrounds and histories and create a non-judgmental, welcoming space that is open to all. ResLife

Our Residence Life teams will be stopping for a well-earned Christmas break on Sunday 22nd December but they'll be back on duty on Friday 3rd January 2025. 

What's On?

There's going to be loads going on in Glasgow over the festive period so, if you're going to be in the city, make sure you get out and experience it!  

Our friends in International Student Support have pulled together this handy guide for things to do over the Winter break and it features lots of fun activities and events to get involved with. We've also got some festive activities in out UofGLiving What's On in December. 

The Uni is also running a special Winter hosting scheme where you can be matched with a University of Glasgow staff member and enjoy a festive activity with them!
